Mumias Sugar Company have issued a notice to the shareholders on the upcoming Annual General Meeting which will be held in Kisumu on Friday 9th December 2016 at Tom Mboya Labour College at 10.00 am. Chairman Dan Ameyo, Mrs Elizabeth Kyengo and Mr. J.K Barorot are set to retire by rotation in accordance with article 113 of the company’s Articles of Association. Chairman Dan Ameyo, Mr. J. K Barorot will not offer themselves for re-election as Directors of the Company, Mrs. Elizabeth Kyengo, however, being eligible, offers herself for re-election as Director, and shareholders will elect suitable Directors to fill the positions.
Business to be conducted at the AGM includes; To table the proxies and note the presence of a quorum.

To confirm the minutes of the 44th Annual General Meeting held on 11th December 2015.
To receive, consider and if approved, adopt the Financial statements for the year ended 30th June 2016 together with the Directors and Auditors Reports thereon.
To elect Directors.
To consider and approve the Directors’ fees for the year ended 30th June 2016 and To note that the Auditors Messrs R.S.M Eastern Africa being eligible, continue in office in accordance with Section 712(2) of the Companies Act 2015.
According to the notice, a member who is entitled to attend and vote at the Mumias AGM and who is unable to attend is entitled to appoint a proxy to attend and vote on his or her behalf, and the proxy need not be a member of the Company. Proxy’s form may be obtained from the Company’s website or from the Company’s share registrars.
