Stephen Owoko is the latest candidate to declare his interest to unseat President Uhuru Kenyatta in the upcoming general elections.
While addressing the press in Nairobi, Mr Owoko said that the Jubilee government together with the opposition have done nothing to improve the lives of citizens. “Opposition and government are just the same people who do not have any agenda for Kenyans, but they are serving their personal interests,’’ said Mr Owoko.
He asked Kenyans to join him and support him to save the country from the hands of selfish leaders who do not care about Kenyans.
“We must reject the Jubilee administration and the Opposition because they were there before and some are still there in the government and we haven’t seen them perform,” he said.
Once elected Mr Owoko promised to create 5 million direct jobs for the youths, provide free education from primary school to university, provide free medical care to all citizens, and tackle poverty and oppression in the country Kenya, adding that he shall make Kenya a corrupt-free country.
He said Kenyans want change and people like him have the vision, ability, and capability to make Kenya a better country. “Kenyans are tired of empty promises that the government promised yet they want to be given another chance no way. I have a vision and my team with people whom we share the same vision,” he said. He will be vying as an independent candidate
