Sabatia MP Alfred Agoi has challenged his competitors for the legislative seat to brace for a tough battle in their quest to unseat him. Agoi said that his development record in the constituency speaks volumes and hoped the electorates will give him another term to finish the initiated projects in the area.
“I have put more emphasis on health and education sectors. This will ensure that our children are empowered and healthy,” he said.
The MP also said that he has improved road network in the area for easy accessibility to the market and interior parts of the constituency though the National Government Constituency Development Fund.
“The road network will enable you to transport your goods to the market in time and enhance your source of income,” he said.
He added that residents should elect development conscious leaders who are out to improve their lives by initiating sustainable projects. Agoi lashed out at Vihiga County government for sabotaging projects that were meant to benefit the locals by refusing to give consent to such projects. “Working with County government has been an uphill task. It has refused to approve some of the projects supposed to be supported by my friends,” said Agoi.
He called on the County government headed by Governor Moses Akaranga to ensure that development plans are coordinated among area leaders for prosperity. “The County government cannot work in isolation. They must embrace team work for the sake of our people,” said Agoi.
He urged local politicians in different political parties to join ANC led by Musalia Mudavadi to give him more numbers and clout to be named NASA flag bearer. “Let area governor Moses Akaranga join hands with Mudavadi to increase our home turf support,” said Agoi.
