Eldoret diocese Catholic Bishop Cornelius Korir has appealed to the national government through the parliament to deal the high cost of living, which has proved to be a burden to the common ‘Mwananchi’. The Bishop outlined this while addressing believers at Nandi hills Catholic church during a fundraising ceremony.
The Bishop cited that the problem should be addressed by the national parliament, and he urged the Members of Parliament to table a bill that will cater for the issue. His clarion call comes after the government outlined a plan to cater for the high costs of food prices, “The president will send fresh measures to Parliament through the supplementary budget to address drought and food issues. We expect Treasury to shortly finish its work and commit the budget to the National Assembly,” said State House Spokesman Manoah Esipisu during a press address.
