Preparations for the National Super Alliance’s (NASA) visit to Nandi County this Sunday are done and dusted according to Nandi political elders. Led by the chair of the Kenya Farmers Association (KFA) Kipkorir Menjo and retired General John Cheruiyot along with other political elders from Uasin Gishu and Nandi County, said all is well and welcomed the opposition outfit.
They said they aren’t reluctant to welcome the opposition leaders to Nandi because they’ve read their manifesto, which is good. They added that they’ve done enough consultations on how to receive and welcome NASA when they visit the area on Sunday at Kapsabet show ground, where the rally will be conducted. They cited the plan by NASA to avail 45% of audited revenue to the Counties as a fine move, saying that County governments should be given the mandate to do their work, while the national government handles the policies.
The NASA team led by presidential candidate and ODM leader Raila Odinga are expected to tour Nandi on Sunday as the campaign trail heats up, with many residents encouraged to turn up.
