Trans Nzoia County Governor Patrick Khaemba has urged residents to re-elect him so that he can complete development projects he has initiated. While addressing residents who had thronged the Kitale ASK grounds during the launch of his Gubernatorial campaign, he cited the construction of a referral hospital which has eased the health burden, as an example of his development initiatives.
He also outlined other projects, including the construction of a modern bus park which will help to ease congestion in Kitale, and the purchasing of road construction equipment which will help when it comes to construction of roads in the County.
He appealed to residents to shun leaders who are out to divide them along tribal lines, and urged the youth to desist from acts of hooliganism, “I urge residents to avoid being used by leaders who set you against each other, and make you fight over irrelevant issues,” said Governor Khaemba.
Other leaders at the function included Kakamega Senator Bonny Khalwale and Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula, who urged residents to elect Governor Khaemba, given that he is a tested and proven leader.
He appealed to the residents to avoid leaders who are vying on independent tickets, saying they are out to mess up votes meant for Khaemba, thus handing Jubilee aspirant Kakai Bisau an early win.
Wetangula said that as Ford Kenya party, they’ll not stay back and watch the gubernatorial seat go to Jubilee, and he said they’ll campaign fervently to ensure they secure the seat once again. “We are going to camp in this County and make sure that we campaign for Khaemba to make sure we retain our seat,” said Wetangula.
His sentiments were echoed by Kakamega Senator and Gubernatorial aspirant Dr Bonny Khalwale who appealed to the residents in the County to support the Governor’s re-election if they want more development projects to be established.
