Jubilee leaders from West Pokot County have admonished the National Super Alliance (NASA) for coming up with hurdles and obstacles blocking the ease of conducting the general elections. The leaders have cited the persistent criticism of IEBC as proof that the opposition leaders aren’t ready for the elections.
Speaking at Tapach Secondary School after donating a school bus, the leaders led by West Pokot Governor Simon Kachapin and Pokot South member of Parliament Mr. David Pkossing, said that Kenyans are ready for the August elections and no one should change that fact.
The West Pokot County boss faulted the opposition for lacking an agenda for the nation.
He urged the opposition to give IEBC time to prepare for the elections, “NASA should stop inciting Kenyans on matters concerning the elections. We know they are sure of defeat,” said Kachapin.
Mr. Pkossing urged Kenyans not to vote for the opposition in the coming polls given that they lack an agenda, adding that they took so long just to appoint their presidential candidate. He said they are wasting time by going to courts instead of wooing voters countrywide.
Furthermore, he hit out at KANU leaders who claimed they have a direct connection to President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Elsewhere, KANU leaders in West Pokot have cautioned President Uhuru Kenyatta that he might lose votes from the area if he continues banking on West Pokot Jubilee leaders to marshal votes for him.
Speaking at Kapchepmket village, the leaders led by Senator John Lonyangapuo said the President will be shocked when he fails to clinch the Presidency, adding that Jubilee leaders from the regions are out to spoil his votes. Senator Lonyangapuo said that Jubilee leaders are spreading propaganda and inciting voters without knowing that they’re reducing votes on a daily basis. He revealed that West Pokot Jubilee leaders together with Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago, Senator Kipchumba Murkomen and MP Oscar Sudi are warming up for 2022 politics and that they have a hidden agenda of syphoning Jubilee campaigning funds.
