Lugari MP Ayub Savula has joined Kenyans from all walks of life in condemning the ghastly death of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission ICT boss Chris Msando. Speaking in his constituency, Savula appealed to national security agencies to conduct proper investigations in order to unravel the exact motives and reasons behind the cruel murder.
Pointing fingers at political fraud into Msando’s death, Savula observed the IEBC ICT boss’s murder was regrettable, especially at the time just one week before the country hold general elections.
He said the killing must have been orchestrated by those plotting to manipulate the ICT system to rig the August 8th polls. “We all know that Msando held key information and was instrumental in the new Kenya integrated electronic management system (KIEMS) that
could check on any malpractices in the next general elections and he might have been killed by those who want to hack the system during the election,” said Savula.
The MP called for speedy investigations into the murder and ensure the perpetrators face the full wrath of the law.
“Perhaps this is a dangerous and bold statement by the current establishment, aimed at frustrating and silencing those fighting to ensure we have free and fair elections, we want to see the people behind the murder arrested and prosecuted before the next week’s general elections” added Savula.
