Deputy President William Ruto has reiterated that the will of the Kenyan people when choosing leaders they desire must be respected. Speaking at a rally organized by former Vihiga County Governor Moses Akaranga at Elwunza village in Sabatia Sub County, DP Ruto said the decision of Kenyans in choosing the leaders they desire must not be violated.
“The decision of Kenyans in choosing leaders of their choice in an electoral process must at all-times respected by all,” He said.
The Deputy President side they are confident they are going to win the coming presidential election.
He added that in the last election Jubilee party won with a land slide noting that they have elected leaders in both houses, the Senate and the National Assembly.
“We beat NASA in every department, we have the highest numbers of Members of County Assembly (MCAs) Members of National Assembly and the Senators, that is a clear indication we have what it take to win the coming polls,” DP Ruto said.
The Deputy President welcomed Moses Akaranga’s support for Jubilee party in the coming election saying the party has a better agenda for Kenyans than their opponents.
“Am glad Akaranga has seen the light, and we welcome his support as we head to the polls,” he said.
Akaranga said he was frustrated by the opposition in the last elections, terming their mistreatment as regrettable.
“They took me to court saying I was using their slogans, and yet I didn’t sign any pact with them. I was fined Kshs 50,000 because of that,” Akaranga said.
Akaranga assured the Deputy President of his support adding that he is going to launch a strong campaign for Jubilee party in the County.
The Cabinet Secretary in the Ministry of Water and Irrigation Eugene Wamalwa said the government has launched many projects in Vihiga County urging the residents to vote in the Jubilee Government for the second term to complete the projects that are underway.
