NASA Presidential candidate Raila Odinga has reiterated that they won’t go to the polls if changes aren’t made at electoral body IEBC. Speaking after the full verdict of the Presidential petition was presented by Supreme Court judges, Raila Odinga said the culprits must be brought to book, “We have said that we are not afraid of another election, we are ready to go to the ballot, but we won’t go to an election until IEBC rectifies all mistakes identified by the Court. Until all the individuals are brought to book, removed and prosecuted.”
He said the same formula used to rig this year’s presidential results was used in 2013, “We know the same happened in 2013, they used the exact formula to produce leaders,” he said, “They were beneficiaries of a very flawed process.”
He once again lauded the Supreme Court’s verdict and the decisions of the judges, “As I said at the time when the ruling was made, it’s historic for the African continent. We had an opportunity to meet with leaders of an association of African judges and they all concurred with us that it’s the beginning of a new era in the African continent,” he said, adding that the era of electoral autocracy must end in the country. “Kenyans who have turned up to vote must know that their votes count,” he quipped.
