Over four hundred nurses in Nandi County have been given promotions, as was planned by Governor Stephen Sang earlier in the week. While addressing Kapsabet Referral Hospital fraternity at the facility, Nandi Governor Stephen Sang cited that he has fulfilled the promise he had pledged.
In return, he urged the health workers to work diligently according to their allotted duties and ensure Nandi residents access better health services.
The Governor, who was accompanied by health ministry officials and members of the Public Service Board, said all health facilities in the County have been well equipped, and the public should benefit as a result. He urged residents to be keen to note any corrupt officials misusing or stealing the medicinal drugs.
“I have equipped all the health facilities across Nandi with sufficient drugs and I’ll not entertain any misappropriation to take place,” he said. He further applauded them for providing sufficient medication and care to the victims of the Kapsabet collapsed building.
Furthermore, he promised to give promotions to clinical officers next week and lauded the good job they did during the nurses’ strike, by ensuring a steady service delivery.
