Deputy President William Ruto has castigated NASA leaders and insisted that the repeat elections must be held next month according to the IEBC timetable, saying they’ll not allow the opposition to create a constitutional crisis. The Deputy President was speaking in Ndurio Secondary School where he handed over a school bus and in Kipsebwo Catholic church in Nandi County where he attended Sunday mass.
He affirmed that the IEBC timetable must be followed, contrary to remarks from NASA leaders who said they won’t take part in the polls if some of their demands aren’t met. He said that the demands tabled by NASA are meaningless, saying Jubilee are ready regardless of whether NASA will take part or not.
Furthermore, he said the government is focused on improving the lives of Kenyans. He was accompanied by President Uhuru Kenyatta’s son, Muhoho Kenyatta, who called for peaceful presidential elections on 26th October.
