Thirdway Alliance presidential candidate Ekuru Aukot has urged Kenyans to come out and vote against the existing political powerhouses in the country on October 26th. Addressing the press in Nairobi, Aukot said Kenyans have a chance to change the political hierarchy by electing him, “Kenyans have an opportunity on 26th to retire one other name that has been so dominant in the political field now that one bolted away,” he said, “I hope they’ll come out and do a protest vote on 26th October and we retire the political shenanigans.”
He said him and his running mate Emmanuel Nzai are facing a difficult task, although they’ll be ready for the polls, with ten days remaining. He said the court case dragged the time they could’ve used to their advantage, “We are disadvantaged because we were kept in court for a long time and we were not able to campaign. We’ve had to come up with a crash program on what to do within these ten days, but we’ll do our best.”
He said Kenyans should consider the injustice they had to face because they were left out deliberately from the polls list, and the other candidates were given an advantage. The candidate asked Kenyans to offer financial support for his presidential bid, and he used the occasion to launch his M-Pesa paybill number.
