Agriculture Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) Dr. Andrew Tuimur on Monday witnessed the opening of an KCSE examination papers container in Nandi, as candidates countrywide started their theory papers, a few days after the conclusion of KCPE. Tuimur was in Emgwen Sub County when he witnessed the exercise before visiting various schools in the County.
Speaking outside the County headquarter offices, he lauded the measures set in place and the commencement of the whole exam exercise, saying integrity will be maintained throughout. “Militarization of the exams, as is perceived by some people, is done in a manner to ensure there is integrity,” he said.
Concerning the issue of teenage pregnancies, he said the government is working on a policy to curb these cases and urged parents to nurture their children well, to guarantee a good future for them. Nandi county has a total of 14,941 KCSE registered candidates sitting their exams in 239 examination centres across the county.
