The bodies of the passengers and crew members who died in the FlySax 5Y-CAC plane crash in Aberdares have been identified. On Friday, the families identified and viewed the bodies at Lee Funeral Home in Nairobi, as investigations continue. The bodies arrived on Thursday evening and the government has pledged to carry out a thorough investigation to know the cause of the crash, which happened on Tuesday evening.

Nyandarua Governor Francis Kimemia who was present at Lee Funeral Home, urged the national government to strengthen the response capacities in the Counties, “The Counties are not well equipped in terms of rapid response when emergencies occur. So we want to devolve the national preparation centre to have strong disaster management and response systems in the country,” he said.
