Deputy President William Ruto has insisted that the Jubilee party is well and strong and refuted claims that the party may be approaching breaking point. “The Jubilee we’ve built has a strong foundation and it doesn’t belong to President Uhuru Kenyatta or Deputy President William Ruto,” he said, “It belongs to Kenyans who are fed up with divisive and tribal politics which doesn’t transform the lives of Kenyans.”
Speaking at Kamarich African Inland Church in Nandi County, he cited that some leaders are trying to pick and shove pointers to Jubilee, saying the trend started a long time ago, “That gospel didn’t start today, when we started the Jubilee party in 2013, they said it’s not possible for people from Central and Rift Valley to work together, God has helped us and we’ve worked together,” he said, adding that the critics persisted that URP and TNA couldn’t be scrapped to come under one umbrella, but that too was accomplished. He said the people peddling lies about the party were dependent on tribal and divisive politics.
