Thirdway Alliance of Kenya presidential candidate Ekuru Aukot wants the IEBC to destroy the extra 1.2 million presidential ballot papers printed by Dubai firm Al Ghurair Printing and Publishing LLC.
Speaking during a press briefing in Nairobi, he said that the extra presidential ballot papers cannot be justified because there has never been 100% voter turnout.
Although the electoral commission has defended the printing of extra ballot papers, Dr Aukot says the extra ballot papers are a cause for concern.
He also expressed his grief and condolences over the death of IEBC manager in charge of ICT Chris Msando and accused the police of not taking any action after he reported that he had received a death threat. He urged the electoral commission to remain courageous and steadfast to deliver free fair and transparent elections.
Finally, he urged all Kenyans to be watchful during the elections period as each vote counts.
