Emgwen aspiring Member of parliament Isaiah Gesicho has urged the public to register as voters during the ongoing mass voter registration exercise.
While addressing a mammoth crowd at Kapsabet showground during a joint IEBC electoral voter registration exercise where he registered officially as a voter, Gesicho mobilized the public to take steps and register as voters.
He urged non-registered members to take the initiative of visiting any nearby voter registration centre in order to register if they want to take part in making correct decisions and pick the right leaders in the forthcoming elections.
The candidate who is currently the national chairperson for Youth Kenya Organization said his move to mobilize the electorate is meant to ensure they have masses available come August.
Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission Nandi branch targets to register a total of 135,000 non-registered voters by the end of the registration exercise.
A section of leaders from across the country including government officials are holding rallies with the aim of countering voter apathy in different regions.
