FORMER Attorney General Amos Wako has declared his interest in politics and now wants to vie for senate seat in Busia County with a call to the youth to be focused in their interest and to stop quarreling about politics.

 He was addressing hundreds of youth in Amagoro constituency, where he declared openly his interest in the senate seat of Busia County. He called on the youth in Teso Districts to vote for him, adding that he is the right person to hold that position having served the nation for more than 2o years leaving behind remarkable legacy.

 “I have intelligently served Kenyans for 20 years and I believe and I am optimistic that if you elect me I will deliver to the best of my capacity,” explained Wako.

 Wako said that a good leader is the one who enrolls youth in various institutions and fund their project to support them, condemning leaders using lump sum money to lure the youth then use them and eventually giving them a deaf ear.

 He said, “Wako is a democrat and a development conscious leader. I am aware that a county does not fit to be termed a county without two to three universities in which Busia only has the embattled Alupe University.”

He visited the two divisions of Teso North district including Angurai and Amogoro where he addressed believers in Amagoro Anglican Church.

Now Wako will be facing the Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Paul Otuoma who is also the Funyula legislator has interest in the senate seat though he has not declared publicly his interest in the position and narc Kenya’s Faith Maumoh who launched her campaign bid for senator Sunday.

Among those eying for the governor seat in Busia include Antony Ambugo a managing director at the Siaya-Bondo Water Services Company, Kizito Wangalwa the former National Taxpayers Association coordinator, Humphrey Nakitare the current Turkana central DC, Amagoro legislator Sospeter Ojaamong and Eng. Vincent Sidai who is his greatest opponent from the same constituency.
