A middle aged woman in Osia Village Ang’urai Location Teso North is nursing serious injuries after his husband; a retired Administration Police (AP) Sergeant stabbed her on her chest with a knife in what is suspected to be relationship troubles.
It is alleged that 60 year old Supriano Indeje who is fond of monitoring his wife’s movements had prohibited his wife from attending a funeral preparation ceremony of a close neighbor in which the wife found it hard and inhuman not to attend.
Speaking to west Fm at Angurai health dispensary, 45 year old Jane Nekoye narrated the whole ordeal saying that he met his husband on her way home from the funeral where he rudely asked whom she was, knowing very well that it was his wife before jumping on her and stabbed her on the throat and vanished in the dark.
Nekoye revealed being helped by a Good Samaritan who was also coming from the funeral before taking her to Ang’urai dispensary where she is still nursing the wounds.
Nekoye who has four children regretted saying that she has suffered very much in the hands of his husband ever since he retired from the forces in 2005 when his behaviors started changing after he married a second wife.
She also disclosed a recent incident where his husband burnt his clothes after she had gone to another funeral to mourn with others saying that she had gone to loiter around with men.
She claimed to have reported the incident to Moding Police post where the police officer rushed to his home but could not find the man whom she claimed fled after being tipped off.
Nekoye who is suffering in silence is now appealing to the government to save the situation after her efforts of conducting the police officers has backfired following the man’s influential character with the police officers.
She also said that her efforts to involve the area chief have been rendered fruitless because his husband is a close relative to the chief.
The distressed woman has also claimed that he has refused to pay her children’s school fees saying that he would do that when his wife is dead.
She is now pleading with the government to move in and have the man put behind bars and show responsibility.
Confirming the incident, area assistant chief David Emayot expressed concern saying it was a pity to see a man who knows the laws but still harasses his wife.
Emoyot said that the case is a criminal one and he called upon the government and relevant authorities to move in and save the situation now that he suspects that the man has bribed the police officers to put the case undercover.
