Residents of Bikeke market, Sirende location of Trans Nzoia West district woke up to a rude shock on Sunday after they received news that one of their villagers who is a retired veterinary doctor had been found dead in his house.
According to the area chief Isaac Lusweti and neighbors, the doctor Jesse Masera 67 who stays alone had been last seen on the market on Friday only for his body to be recovered today in the house where he stays alone.
"We knew of the death of this old man after one of his relatives who is said to have been send by the wife to come and establish why her husband was not picking phone calls and thus the relative found all doors closed and hence peeped through a window and found that the doctor's body was lying lifeless on his bed,” the chief told West FM at the home of the deceased.

The cause of the death of the deceased was not immediately established even though the chief and police who retrieved the body from the house said that several drugs believed to be for heart related complications were recovered from his room.
At the same time the administrator said that the late doctor who is said to have worked at the Agricultural Development Corporation (ADC) farms up to his retirement had been nursing a wound on one of his legs for quite some time.
