Drama was witnessed in a village near Kakamega town over the weekend when a witch doctor used his charms to make members of a terror gang to come to a home they had robbed and eat grass before being lynched with an angry mob.
The incident excited residents of shiyunzu village who said the new form of identifying and punishing thieves will scare off people who are robbing others in the area.
Kakamega town and its environs have been experiencing increased incidents of violent robberies where victims have been robbed by organized gangs who disappear without being arrested.
When we visited the home of Mr. Joseph Omamo the residents praised his father for bringing a witch doctor from Kimilili in Bungoma County to flash out the robbers who had attacked him leaving him with severe injuries.

The terror gang attacked Mr Omamo a business man at centre market and robbed his wife Mrs Lilian Munguva money and mobile phones. During the incident the robbers injured the couple and the neighbors who came to assist the attacked family and disappeared.
However after a week, his father sought the service of a Witchdoctor who came and applied his charms and shortly after, two gang members started coming on their own to the home and started behaving in a suspicious manner.
According to Mr. Omamo and his wife the robbers came and started walking as they did on the fateful night before starting to graze.
An enraged mob which the witch doctor had told the thieves would come and eat grass set on each member with crude weapon killing them instantly.

The bodies of the deceased were later collected by police and taken to Kakamega Provincial Hospital mortuary.
The couple which narrated the incident to reporters said to other members of the gang are said to be in critical condition whose cause can’t be identified by doctors.
Resident who had come to console the couple by the time we visited the home praised the incident and blamed the government for laxity which has caused insecurity in the area.
