Kolongolo FC finished the first leg of the Western Provincial league team (Zone B) on a high note after smashing weekend opponents Butere Sportif by an introverted goal.
The hosts however found it hard to fully enclose the opponents’ prowling striker with Benard Ongoma proving the main thorn in their flesh in the Sunday 3 June 2012 match played at the Butere Primary School grounds.
Ongoma weaves his way through the Butere defense to set up Jacob Mulamba but the shot was circumvented away by the Butere keeper.
Oscar Buluma however landed on it and scored from close range to seal the win for Kolongolo FC.
The Obama Cup champions finished top of the 13 team’s league with 29 points ahead of second placed Lake-View FC who have 26 points and Butere Sportif are placed fourth with 18 points. Switch to Our Mobile Site |
