A middle aged man was Wednesday evening lynched by an irate mob in Kwang’amoro Village in Teso South for allegedly being found in possession of a stolen bull.
It is claimed that the deceased had stolen the animal in the neighboring Igara village with an aim of selling it in Kwang’amor before the buyer suspected him and raised an alarm that attracted the public to the scene.
An eyewitness revealed to West Fm that the suspect had agreed to sell the bull at Sh 10,000 before he was deduced to be a thief a factor that prompted the mob to pursue him and caught up with him near Papa primary school before lynching him.
The Teso police Boss Elphas Korir confirmed the incident saying no documents were recovered , and the body was taken to Bungoma District Hospital.The Ocpd has however, asked the residents to desist from taking actions into their own hands and pleaded with them to hand suspects to Police stations and relevant authorities .
