Police officer dies mysteriously

A police officer based in Adungos Police station in Teso South District was Monday morning found dead in his house in the police line quarters.

Teso Deputy Police OCPD Francis Wahome who confirmed the incident said the deceased was found by fellow police officers who visited his house to check on him after he had delayed reporting on duty.

Wahome revealed that the middle aged officer who was previously on duty in good heath had no any external injuries.

The body was taken to Tanaka Hospital mortuary in Busia and the police are waiting for a post-mortem to officially launce investigations over the issue.

However the deputy police boss has confirmed that ever since the officer got transferred in Teso he has been of good heath and no history of sickness.

The officer‘s death has shocked residents. The deputy police has asked them to avoid speculation and wait for the post-mortem so as to know the exact cause of his death.
