A robbery suspect stunned villager in Lukusi area of Matete district when he was discovered to have chosen a church as his hiding den.

The suspect who has been on the security’s most wanted list was discovered to be taking cover in Lukusi friends’ church. He used to hide in the church and emerge in the dead of the night to commit crimes.

As the old adage goes, his 40 days arrived when he forgot his sleeping materials and part of the stolen items which were discovered by a night guard Andrew Wandiaka who together with two other church members laid a trap and arrested him.

They laid in readiness before the culprit sauntered in under the cover of darkness. They handed him over to the administration after a thorough beating.

Area residents led by Elizabeth Nabaki have complained over increased insecurity and called upon security agents to intensify patrols especially during the night.
