Police are holding a man they caught disguised as a lady in Amukura on Wednesday evening.

It is alleged that the man said to be in his late twenties arrived in Amukura market dressed in a legging outfit, a veil, a woman’s top dress and high heeled shoes carrying a pouch in disguise of a lady who was to meet with her fiancée.

Drama unfolded when the man who was to meet her fiancée received a call from her girlfriend (the disguised one)  alerting him that she had  arrived, on reaching the destined place, the man was stunned  to find out  that the person in his presence was not his girlfriend but a man dressed in a woman s clothing’s.

The crazy incident attracted multitude of bodaboda operators who swarmed the place ready to lynch him claiming he was an Alshaabab militia.

Police officers from Kotur police post reacting on a tip-off arrived and rescued the two of them from the angry mob who were about to smash them.

The man was taken to the Teso South Distric Commissioner's office where he was undressed and police found out that he was wearing four pants, with funny objects which he had inserted on his chest to act as breasts and many cosmetics in his handbag.

When interrogated about his mission, the man revealed that he was just enjoying himself and nothing more.

He went mute when police officers asked him on the where about of the lady who had communicated with his boyfriend saying that she was visiting him.

Speaking to West Fm, on condition of anonymity, the man who was waiting for his girlfriend revealed that he was pretty sure that the person he had spoken to before he meet the lady-man was his fiancée they had known each other for many years since in secondary school.

He also said that the girl had said that she was visiting him in company of a relative and when he called the girl after she claimed to have arrived, the man dressing as a woman was the one who answered his call.

Police officer set him free after his relatives intervened telling the police that their son was innocent over what was going on.

The incident has shocked Amukura residents with many believing that their was a hidden mission behind the disguise.

The man is being held in Kotur police post as the police launch full investigation over the incident.
