Kenya athletes continued to record good results at the ongoing Olympics games in London especially in the long races.
In the first round of 30,000m steeplechase reigning champion of Kenya Brimin Kiprop Kipruto lead in position one by recording a time of 8:28:63. In the race was Jacob Araptany of Uganda who came number seven and Ethiopian Getany who was unable complete the race because of an arm string.
In the second round 30, 000m steeplechase race Kenyan Abel Mutai took the third position in 8:29:63 time Mekhendine Mekhimiss of Benanard toped having used 8:16:00 time, Alcon of USA used a time of 8:18:00 to come the second.
In other heats of the same race Kenya world champion Ezekiel Kemboi recoded 8:20:90 time as the second after he received a stiff completion from an Ethiopian Roba Rari.
The 8:20:90 time recorded is the lowest one compared to his initial performances.
Ezekiel Kemboi, Abel Mutai and Brimin Kiprop Kipruto will continue to showcase their talent in the ongoing competitions.
