A police officer was on Monday morning arrested in Mbale District for allegedly murdering two people. Mbaraka Wambuhu a police officer attached to Maluku police post allegedly shot dead Ali Nyago whom he found in bed with his lover Silvia Wambesho.

According to Wambuhu, Silvia is his lover but he found her in bed with Nyago in the morning at Nyago’s home in Maluku Adra cell.

He was irked after an unknown person tipped him that his woman was in bed with another man.

Nandawula, a police officer while confirming the incident said that Wambuhu allegedly picked a gun from Mbale central police station saying that he was to go for duty but ended up in Adra Cell where he allegedly shot dead Nyango while injuring Wambesho who later died at the Mbale Referral Hospital.

The two bodies are currently at the Mbale Referral Hospital Mortuary as Wambuhu is being detained at the Mbale Central police station while the investigations are ongoing.

Nandawula said Wambuhu will be charged for murder.
