Maurice Cardinal Otunga is set to become the first Kenyan to be declared saint, should the process set in motion by the Catholic Church certify the provisions for his beatification.

Questions on how long the canonisation process of the respected cardinal arose in the wake of the beatification of Sister Irene Stefani on Saturday after over 80 years since her death.
