Strategic Africa new opinion polls reveals that if elections were to be held today then 7.1 % of Kenyans would vote for Mudavadi coming fourth after Raila Odinga, Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto.

 In the new poll Prime Minister Raila is leading at 32.7% followed by Uhuru Kenyatta who is at 15.2% and thirdly William Ruto who is at 7.9%.

The poll further states that Musalia Mudavadi would be voted number two after Raila Odinga as per counties in Coast, Western, Rift Valley, Nyanza, Eastern, Central, North Eastern and Nairobi regions with Uhuru being the third preferred candidate.

 In Western Region Mudavadi would get 19.7% votes from Kakamega County, 11.3% from Bungoma County, and 12.7% from Busia County.

Vice president Kalonzo Musyoka is at 7%, Martha Karua 5.3%, Peter Kenneth 2.5%, Raphael Tuju 1.9%, Eugene Wamalwa 1.4%, James Ole Kiyiapi 1.1, Prof. George Saitoti 0.9 and Cyrus Jirongo 0.1%.

Speaking during the launch of the Polls in Nairobi, Strategic Africa C.EO Caesar Handa says that there is significant drop in support for leading political figures in the presidential race compared to previous strategic polls. “There is significant increase in undecided voters who at 11.7%.”

Majority of Kenyans according to the polls trust Raila with Education, Construction of Roads, Employment Sector, National Integration, Agricultural environment, Implementation of the constitution, justice of the marginalized, Media freedom, fighting corruption and fairness distribution of resources and opportunities.

On the qualities of presidential aspirants, the respondents of the poll feel that the premier is the leader who has the qualities they are looking for followed by Uhuru Kenyatta. Past experience and integrity are the two main considerations for respondents for selection of the next president.

62 % of Kenyans do not support the revival of tribal groups such as GEMA and KAMATUSA with only 13% in support of it. The polls also indicates that 59% of Kenyans are in support of Mariga and Oliech decision to quit playing for the national team Harambee stars over unpaid allowances.
