Discord over post allocation has erupted in Jubilee Alliance, which is expected to be launched by president Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto next month.
Leaders from the TNA party led by Nominated MCA in the Trans Nzoia county assembly, Naomi Okul have condemned their New Ford Kenya patners for what they termed as wanting to take up all the posts in the party without involving them as partners in the Jubilee coalition.
They stated that they were not ready to let all the posts go to New Ford Kenya saying that they are the late comers in the coalition and need not to dictate them on how the new party ought to be managed.
They also vowed not to let go of the biggest posts that they hold in the party.
The leaders said that New Ford Kenya needs to move to the coalition with respect to other partners in the party who have made tremendous efforts in building.
They condemned the step by New Ford Kenya to take the leadership from the back door an action that they will not allow to happen.
Okul who has also announced interest to contest as a county Mp, said that they were not happy as a party by what she termed as under cuttings being done by their coalition partners in New Ford Kenya who are jostling for slots at a very early stage
Responding to the criticisms, the New Ford Kenya leaders led by County Mp Janet Nangabo and Saboti legislator David Lazaro said that they are in the party to stay and will fight vigorously to get the bigger slots as they represent a bigger population in the yet to be formed Jubilee party.
Nangabo said that some TNA and URP leaders are worried about the decision of New Ford Kenya leaders to work with the Government of Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto.
Nangabo criticized Okul’s remarks that members from New Ford Kenya party ought to be given back seats and not ask for any superior seat in the party.
She said such remarks intended to cause disunity and set leaders at each other appealing to Okul to weigh her words before making any statements that would be dangerous to other members.
“If you feel you wont sustain the pressure by the New Ford Kenya in the party then move out of the party as we are ready to steer the party ahead,” said Nangabo.
Her sentiments were echoed by the Saboti legislator David Lazaro who said they were not ready to be dictated by their partners in the TNA and URP parties and will fight from within to see that they take over the seats in the party.

Lazaro criticized the assertions made by his colleagues in the jubilee coalition as ill advised and meant to derail the efforts made by the leaders in the county in seeing that posts have been shared equally in the yet to be formed party
He said that those leaders purporting to be officials in the party are wrong to assume that the yet to be availed party is theirs terming them as brokers who only want to articulate their issues through wrong platforms.
He added that the party was not anyone’s project and advised URP and TNA leaders to hold their horses and be ready for the competitive politics within the party.
