14-year-old Goldalyn Kakuya Tanga emerged the best candidate in the country in this year’s KCPE results. The girl from St. Anne’s junior school Lubao who is an albino scored 455 marks out of 500.
Speaking to the press, Kakuya attributed her success to her supportive and loving parents, caring friends and hard working teachers.
The girl who aspires to join Kenya Girls high school or The Safaricom foundation for her high school education says that she expected good results but not to this tune.
Kakuya wants to be a psychiatric or psychotherapist in future explaining that she loves issues that deal with the brain functions.
St. Annes school head teacher Ibrahim Nambande Mukoya told the press that the school expected good results from KAKUYA since she has always performed excellently.
He equated the good performance to discipline and hard work.
He further termed KAKUYA as an all-round student being the school president, active in games and other co-curricular activities.
Her father Harrison Otanga termed her daughter as ever hard working since she joined school explaining that she has always emerged best or second in all examinations.
He says he will do whatever it takes to ensure that his daughter gets the best education to achieve all her dreams.
