Chief Justice David Maraga has affirmed that the judiciary is fully behind President Uhuru Kenyatta in the fight against corruption. Speaking at the national prayer breakfast, Chief Justice Maraga said the judiciary supports the war against corruption, adding that it’s vital for the leaders to mind to preserve the national wealth to benefit even the poor people in the villages, “You can count on the judiciary, we are together on fighting corruption because it’s good for our nation,” he said.
The CJ noted that it’s important for Kenyans to remain together and live by the rule of law, “In this nation, what is important is that we remain together and uphold the law, and live by the constitution,” he said. Chief Justice David Maraga was among many leaders who were present during the prayer breakfast led by President Uhuru Kenyatta and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
