AFC Leopards' striker player Allan Wanga is buoyant of being fit for Saturday’s league clash against champions Tusker at Mbaraki Stadium.

“I have trained for two days and the ankle looks to be holding I hope I will be fully fit by Saturday and can resume my usual service,” Wanga said on Wednesday.

Wanga, limped out with an ankle strain after 20 minutes during Leopards comprehensive 6-2 demolition of Rangers in Mumias two weeks ago.

Leopards went on to beat Thika United 2-1 a week later without him but the swift Wanga now wants a return to battle.

“I resumed training this week and I am not sure if I will be able to play till Wednesday. I feel better now and hope to feature on Sunday.” Wanga said

“With the team facing Tusker next, it will be a tough match considering the two sides are big teams in the league. The whole team knows what is at stake and will be expected to deliver against the opponents.” Wanga added

Leopards are currently on top of the log with 26 points, enjoying their best run of form and are unbeaten in 23 unbeaten. The last time the two sides faced each other, the league leaders lost 2-1 to the defending champion.
