Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka took his campaigns for the country’s top seat in North Rift and asked the local community and religious leaders to pray for him in his quest to occupy State House.

He asked Kenyans not to abandon him in the coming general election and vote for him as their next Head of State having saved the country from grumbling to the ground following the 2007/8 post election chaos over the outcome of the disputed Presidential results.

Kalonzo said that he had all the credentials backed by long political experience that cannot be matched his rival who are also garnering for the Presidency saying that he was the right person to succeed President Mwai Kibaki whose term in office is ending in December.

Kalonzo reiterated that he was still in G7 and he said some people have been spreading rumors that he had left the group, which he said was a formidable force and was determined to produce the next President in the forthcoming general election.

He cautioned electorates to be wary of some leaders who are seeking for their votes in their quest for the country’s top seat as they were bound to dump them once they ascend to the position of leadership.

The VP was speaking at Nerkwo Catholic Church in Marakwet West constituency in Elgeyo Marakwet County.

He was accompanied by area MP Boaz Kaino, his Marakwet East counterpart Linah Kilimo, Keiyo North MP Lucas Chepkittony, Kitui West legislator Victor Munyaka and Wiper Democratic Party national executive director Brigadier retired Henry Rop.
