St Antony boys from Kitale beat Kamusinga 2-0 to emerge the top national in the hockey tournament held at Maseno School. Handing the trophy to the Justice minister Eugene Wamalwa, the school head Cosmas Stephen Nambongolo cited that the school had retained the championship for the third year consecutive adding the record to their 3 years unbeaten record of the East and Central Africa Secondary School championships. The team beat Mangu high 3-1 in the preliminaries before thrashing Lenana School 3-0. Wamalwa who is also the school patron, was short of praises for the school praising it for bringing much glory to the county and urging them to perform even better. He cited that sports were identified as key ingredient in reducing challenges faced by the youth in the day to day life. Mr. Nambogolo assured him that the team was ready to uphold the standards it had set and that it would not let him down as its patron. |
