In the volleyball girls’ category, the ACK saint Crispine won 2 sets against ACK Siritanyi parish which had only 1 set. Volleyball boys’ category, the ACK saint Crispine won 2 sets against ACK Siritanyi parish which managed only 1 set.

George M. Javan a youth committee chairman in the Bungoma ACK church who had organized for the event as a way of attracting more youth to join the church through sporting activities.

“We have organized for this event as a way of creating an opportunity for the youth in the church to interact freely and compete as a way of expressing talent,” said George.

The organizing secretary for the youth in the church said that December last year they organized for inter-church choir competition which was not received well by youth in the region as many did not take part in it.

Keziah Wanjala, a youth representative of the ACK Siritanyi parish urged youth to use sports as a way of avoiding temptation of sexual immorality among them. “Apart from our regular prayer meetings and Sunday service, let us embrace sports as a way of keeping ourselves fit and avoid entering into sexual immorality,” said Keziah.
