AJ Auxere striker Dennis Oliech has officially quit the national team Harambee Stars saying that the issues he had raised about the use of his image had not been dealt with satisfactorily.

"There have been no genuine efforts to resolve the issue and I have no choice but to officially tender my resignation," he said

Oliech wrote to Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Wednesday announcing his resignation from international football.

This comes three weeks after he announced on social media he was quitting but was expected to make a comeback following intervention from several quarters.

He also insisted that his priority at the moment was to help his club escape relegation.

"I am with my club longer than the national team and its wellbeing is of a higher priority. Right now we are in a dangerous position and I must put all my focus on helping them remain in top flight football," he added.
