Mudavadi to introduce free secondary education if elected the next president

Presidential aspirant Deputy Prime minister Musalia Mudavadi has promised to introduce free secondary education programme in the country if voted to become Kenyans next president.

Speaking in Eldoret during the Coast Secondary Schools Heads Association Workshop   Mudavadi noted that due to excellent foundation formed through the introduction of Free Primary Education there was need to build on the foundation at secondary level.

The Sabatia Legislator noted currently more than 40 thousand pupils are left out  after class 8 due to financial constraints  but ensured that if he will be the president he will ensure all children get free secondary education.

He also reiterated on the need to improve on infrastructure at tertiary level by equipping the existing Youth Polytechnics and expanding engineering education by providing public universities with well equipped engineering laboratories so as to provide skills for form four leavers.

The Deputy Prime Minister also promised to employ 10000 teachers yearly in his bid to improve on education sector.
