Signing Harambee Stars midfielder Collins Gattuso Okoth and Congolese international Demonde Selenga, Clubs president Elly Kalekwa said that the two are great players that will add depth to the squad as they look forward to reclaim the title they won in 2009.

“I am happy to announce that today we have signed Okoth and Selenga, said a jubilant Kalekwa. It’s a positive deal and they will be with us for two years as we seek to clinch more titles,’’ he said.

The two signed a two year deal with the former Kenyan Premier League champions.

“Sofapaka is a good team with good players and a technical bench with a great vision. I know I will enjoy my time here and I’m very happy to join such a club,’’ said former Harambee Stars midfielder Collins Gattuso Okoth

The two players were among the eight dropped players by Gor Mahia earlier in the month, however, for Selenga, he's returning back to his former club.

Recently, Sofapaka parted ways with Ugandan midfielder Musa Mudde. The player was released by the club after spending two and a half seasons with the 2009 Kenyan Premier League champions.

“I can confirm that we have released Musa Mudde. He heads back to his native Uganda, where we wish him all the best in his future endeavors. He has been a great player and servant of the club and he leaves with our best wishes,’’ said Kalekwa.
