Amukura Police arrest two theft suspects

Two suspected thieves were rescued by the Amukura police from being lynched by an angry mob Tuesday morning at Amukura market in Teso South District.

 It is claimed that the two men who arrived on a motorbike carrying a calf dressed in human clothes a plot meant to disguise people before they could sell it.

 Eye witness told journalists that the calf had socks, a woman’s skirt and a shawl a factor that made buyers and sellers to suspect them and immediately pounced on them with kicks and blows before police officers came to their rescue.

 They two are suspected to have stolen the calf in Butula area hoping to sell the stolen property in Amukura market.

 The two were later taken to the Kotur police post where they will later be arraigned in court once the investigations are complete.
