“He was making love as he drove, drunk with the lady with him in the lorry something that I think made him lose control killing one innocent person and injuring others, one wonders if those would not have waited,” a resident lamented.

Before hitting the maruti, the lorry initially hit another car by side.

The driver of the passenger’s vehicle by the name Chris died on the spot with his head, legs and hands broken.

Angry mob wanted to set the lorry ablaze but was rescued by the police who came to the scene immediately.

They though hit the windscreen of lorry with stones making cracks on it due to their anger.

The injured were rushed to the Kakamega general hospital for medical attention.

The resident urged the police to be more alert and just wondered on how he who maintains law and order could go against the oath he took to commit such a huge mistake.

It is near the same area that another police lorry belonging kakamega police station was involved in an accident injuring ten police officers.

The officers were heading to St. Augustine Mukumu boys boarding primary when its two dormitories was burning.
