Fear and panic has gripped Konambaya village, Sinoko location in Likuyani district during the past three days after unknown beasts descended on their livestock decimating over 20 animals.

The villagers led by Mr. James Okusi revealed that the beasts have caused them irreparable losses. The three beasts resembling bull dogs kill and suck blood from the livestock leaving the carcasses.

“For the last three days the beats have invaded our village, several sheep and donkeys have been killed”, said Mr. Okusi.

Mr. Okusi said that on Tuesday evening, the beasts again raided the village killing six sheep and a donkey.

The villagers appealed for intervention from the Forestry and wildlife department arguing that beasts were soon going to render them destitute.

The villagers also expressed concern over the safety of their children who travelled to schools early in the morning saying that the beasts may attack them on their way to school.
