ICC sets trial dates for The Ocampo 4

The Trial Chamber V of the International Criminal Court   Monday set the month of April  next year beginning 10th for the commencement of the trials in the two former Kenyan top government officials for crimes committed during the 2007 Post Election Violence.

 “The cases which are The Prosecutor vs William Samoei Ruto and Joshua Arap Sang and The Prosecutor vs Francis Kirimi Muthaura and Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta will be held respectively on 10 and 11 April 2013.

The ICC says this implies the establishment of a time table for the various procedural steps required to be undertaken before the opening of the trials to guarantee the fairness of the procedures.
