Man arrested for sodomizing a minor in Hamisi

Fedrick Isiaho was arraigned in Hamisi Law courts on Monday and charged with defilement contrary to section 8(1) as read with section 8(2) of the sexual offences Act No. 3 of 2006 Laws of Kenya.

Before the Senior Principal magistrate Julius Kipkosgei Ng’arang’ara, Isiaho was accused that on 3rd day of July 2011 at Mahanga village, Makuchi sub location in Hamisi District within Vihiga County intentionally sodomized a 5 year old child.

One of the witnesses Josephine Amwoka, a medical practitioner at Kaimosi Mission hospital who filled the P3 form said that the victim was brought at the hospital in company of her mother and she examined him.

The victim had his clothes bloodstained, his anus bruised, swollen and reddish, fluids on his thighs and was walking with difficulties.

Further examination revealed that the boy had contracted HIV virus.

The accused is being held at Kodianga Prisons pending further hearings set on 16/08/2012
