A Bungoma court sentence a father to life imprisonment for defiling his ten years old daughter

Arnold Esirom Aoko on Thursday was sentenced by the Bungoma law court after being found guilty of defiling his 10 years old daughter.

According to chief prosecutor, inspector Abdul Wako,on the diverse dates between 1st of January and 31st of July this year, Arnold Esirom Aoko at Rwatama village, Teso north within Busia County unlawfully defiled his 10 years old girl on several occasions.

The girl was residing with her father together with her other siblings after their parents divorced sometimes back.

The girl is said to have reported the matter to her grandmother who then informed the headmaster to the school where the girl was schooling.

The head teacher then mobilized the community who arrested the accused and took him to Malaba police station before the two were taken for medical examination and he was confirmed to be HIV positive.

Before the Bungoma senior resident magistrate, Peter Areri, the accused pleaded for lenience from the court which was taken into consideration before he was sentenced.
