Nandi governor Stephen Sang has come up with a list of ten County Executive Committee nominees and forwarded to the County assembly for statutory vetting.
In a letter signed by the Nandi Governor and sent to media houses, it read in part, “Pursuant to article 179(20)(b) of the Kenyan Constitution 2010 and section 30(2)(d) and 35 of the County Government Act, I hereby forward the following nominees for the County Executive Committee members for statutory vetting.”
The following are the proposed nominees for various dockets;
Alfred Lagat, Finance and Economic planning. Lagat holds a Bachelor’s degree of Commerce in finance.
Stanley Baliach, Education. Baliach is a trained teacher and has worked with the Teachers Service Commission for sixteen years.
Wilson Kibor Taiy, Agriculture and Cooperative development. Taiy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Production and a Master’s degree in Agricultural Extension.
Eng. Hillary Koech. Transport and Infrastructure. Koech is a civil engineer currently working with a group of engineers.
Ruth Koech. Health and Sanitation. Koech holds a Bachelors Degree in nursing, biology, and Master’s degree in public health management.
Jacob Tanui. Land, Environment and Natural resources. Tanui has a Bachelor of Science in applied mathematics, computer and physics.
Valentine Chumo. Tourism, Culture, and Social Welfare. Chumo was one of the woman representative seat aspirants in the August polls. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in design.
Bernard Kiplimo Lagat. Trade, Investment and Industrialization. Lagat is a Business Economics lecturer at Moi University.
Teresa Morogo. Administration, Public services and e-government. Morogo has a Bachelor of Science degree, Post-graduate Diploma in business management and a Master’s degree in Human Resource.
And finally Elly Kurgat for the Sports and Youth affairs docket. Kurgat is an Agribusiness management graduate.
