ODM leader and NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga has insisted that the National Super Alliance (NASA) leaders are still opposed to the ballot papers printing tender awarded to Dubai-based Al Ghurair Printing Company. He said that they will move to court to challenge the decision by IEBC.
While addressing the press in Nairobi, the opposition leader outlined that there have already been previous decisions by the court blocking the process, “When they gave the tender the first time, we moved to court, then the verdict was given that the process was illegal, and IEBC were ordered to start a fresh process,” adding that IEBC remained silent and awarded the tender to the same company.
He further said that there is a clear gameplay concerning the tender process, citing that they won’t be led into a trap. “If IEBC isn’t ready for the polls they should tell Kenyans.” He said that NASA leaders are ready for the elections, “Many times Jubilee leaders say we ain’t ready, but truth is Jubilee leaders are the ones who aren’t ready. They know they can’t win if they don’t rig.”
