The New Ford Kenya Party on Thursday announced the official dissolving of the party and join Jubilee party that will be launched on Saturday at Kasarani Sports Centre Nairobi, in a move they said will promote politics of maturity.
Speaking to delegates at the Bomas of Kenya, Governor Kenneth Lusaka who is the Party leader said he is ready to join Jubilee party and to make strong cooperation with the Government of the President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto. He urged all members of New Ford Kenya to support him, and also to support the Jubilee party as a whole as they look to establish themselves ahead of the forthcoming elections.
This happens when a big number of MPs are expected to join the Jubilee party from the opposition. MP for Sirisia John Waluke and nominated MP Isaac Mwaura, declared their bid to join the new party that will be launched officially soon at Kasarani Sports Centre. Speaking to delegates at Bomas of Kenya, Waluke said he has officially joined the Jubilee party and has left ODM, the party ticket that he vied for the Parliamentary seat in the year 2013. “Kenya is bigger than any of us,” said Waluke as he confirmed his move. Turkana senator John Munyes also confirmed that he has officially joined Jubilee.
Water Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa announced he will cooperate well with former MP of Starehe Bishop Magret Wanjiru to ensure they take over the seat of the governorship in Nairobi city to defeat Dr Evans Kidero in the next general election. “I want to say congratulations to everyone from the New Ford Kenya party for agreeing to join Jubilee party,” said Margaret Wanjiru, as she urged Kenyans to support them without tribalism.
